Obituary for Edna Elaine Chastain

Edna E’Laine Chastain, 54, lost her battle on earth and went home on September 30th, 2019 in Searcy, AR. She began her earthly journey on May 8th, 1965 in Brinkley, AR to Joe T. Davis and Barbara Baggett Davis. E’Laine was the eldest of three girls whom she adored. She is attended Brinkley High School and throughout her life, she insisted on being called E’Laine. She married Stanley Chastain in 1998 and spent the rest of her 21 years with him. She may not have had children, but she adored her nieces and nephews as her own. She loved her dogs so much that she will be buried with the one’s already past and cremated. Whereas, she loved her animals, her family was loved the most. E‘Laine enjoyed many activities, including a fascination with the paranormal activities, cooking meals for her dogs, and making dry bologna sandwiches for Stanley. She also enjoyed online shopping and traveling to Louisiana to visit family. E’Laine was very strong minded and always voiced her opinion. It was almost impossible to change her mind once it was made up. She had an all or nothing attitude. E’Laine was always willing to help anyone who needed it. The recent years took a toll on her health and for the last few months she adored having her niece, Brooklyn, assist with daily tasks that needed to be done.
E’Laine is preceded in death by her father, Joe; and nephew, Jeremy Lance. She leaves behind her spouse, Stanley; mother, Barbara; one brother, Joseph Davis Jr.; two sisters, Wendy Ann Jones, Susan (Keith) Bragg; three nephews, Matthew (Maegan) Hood, Bradshaw (Cindy) Weatherford, Ricky Weatherford; four nieces, Amanda (Justin) Carson, Heather (Jason) Crosby, Brooklyn Weatherford, and Emily DePriest; four great-nephews, Colby Crosby, Easton Pruitt, Keaton Pruitt, and Ryan Carlson; and four great-nieces Mckaynzie Crosby, Ella Carlson, Zada Dawson, and Leona Berry, along with a host of other family and friends.
