Obituary for Barbara Manns Trippe

Barbara Jean Mann Trippe of Isola, Mississippi, went to her Heavenly reward on June 11, 2019 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. She had fought courageous battle against an extended illness.

Barbara was born on October 7, 1945 in Grenda County to Robert Howard and Nannie Mae Hayes Mann. Her husband Douglas passed away at an early age. She went back to school to become a hairdresser so that she could support herself and her three boys whom she loved dearly. Barbara was a hairdresser for 39 years in the Isola area. She poured her heart and soul into her beauty shop. She loved being able to help others as well as being a listening ear for her customers as well as her neighbors. Barbara would help anyone that needed help, if she could. She enjoyed quilting and found joy in giving her quilts to the ones she loved. Most of all, she loved being able to spend time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Isola, Mississippi. She was firm believer in God's word.

Barbara Trippe was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Howard and Nannie Mae Mann, her beloved husband, Shed Douglas Trippe, son, Gregory Scott Trippe, sisters Mary Lou Hearn, Myrtle Isom, and Gladys Hearn, and brother, James Mann.

Barbara leaves to cherish their memories, Sons, Howard Douglas Trippe (Trish) of Saltillo, Mississippi and Hugh Edward Trippe (Laura) of Jackson, Mississippi, daughter-in-law, Dee Dee Heflin of Inverness, Mississippi, grandchildren, Lillian Scott Trippe of Inverness, and Lauren Copeland (Josh) of Saltillo, great-children, Cole and Clayton Copeland, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.

Services will be held on June 13, 2019 at the Isola First Baptist Church in Isola, Mississippi.
Visitation will begin at 1 PM with the service to follow at 2 PM. Interment will be in the Belzoni City Cemetery in Belzoni, Mississippi.

Layman Steve Painter will conduct the service. Pallbearers are Freddy Isom, Albert Ray Holeman, George Freeman, Josh Copeland, Travis Trippe, David Trippe, and Ed Pratt Trippe.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to The University of Mississippi Medical Center, in loving memory of Scott Trippe for his heart transplant, 2500 North State Street, Jackson Mississippi 39216 or online at www.umc.edu.

Mortimer Funeral Home of Belzoni has been entrusted with the services.
