Obituary for Jerry Lewis Childs

Jerry "PeeWee" Childs, as he was known, of Silver City, passed over peacefully to meet his master the Lord Jesus Christ early Wed. morning June 14th at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He as born on December 5, 1943 in Humphreys County. He was reared and lived his life out there as well.
He was an active member of the Silver City Baptist Church. He was the son of H.C. (Pete) Childs and Marie Hill Childs. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Floyd Childs and a sister: Shirley Ann Childs.
He leaves behind his wife Wilma, of Silver City, two daughters LaChele Bozeman (Randy) of Hayneville, AL, and Melissa "Ruda" Schuler (Brian) of Bryson City, N.C., one brother Fred Childs of Hardy, AR; five grandchildren: Tyler and Anna Marie Bozeman of Hayneville, AL, and John, Grace, and James Schuler of Bryson, City, N.C.
The family will receive friends on Friday June 15th from 11 - 12 at Mortimer Funeral Home, Belzoni. A private burial will be held at Caile Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Nic Carter, Buster Craithers, Rob Heflin, Bubba Hale, Jamie Holeman, Wayne Holeman, Scott Myers, Wallace Outlaw, Pepper Roberts, Gene Robertson, Johnny Hue Rowland, Tim Saxton, and Shea Whitfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Holeman and Joe Outlaw.
